How to save papers in Litmaps with Tags

Use Tags in Litmaps to stay organized and keep track of your research. You can save papers to Tags anywhere in the application.

To save a paper to a Tag:

  1. Create a Litmap or access a previous one

  2. Click on a paper in the sidebar or on the Map

  3. Click

  4. Add to an existing Tag or make a new one by clicking "New Tag". An article can have as many Tags as you like.

  5. All done, your paper is tagged! Access your Tags in the left sidebar anytime

How to change a Tag's name

To change the name a Tag:

  1. Click your Tag on the left side-bar

  2. Click on the Tag's name text at the top

  3. Change the text

  4. Hit Enter

You can also change a Tag's name by going to the Tag settings at the top right (the three dot option) and clicking "Rename".

How to delete a Tag

To delete a Tag (and those papers saved to it):

  1. Click your Tag on the left side-bar

  2. Click on the three-dot option at the top right

  3. Click "Delete"

How to remove an article from a Tag

To remove an article from a Tag:

  1. Click your Tag on the left side-bar

  2. Select the article you'd like to remove

  3. Click on the three dot option at the top right

  4. Click "Remove from Tag"

How to change a Tag's color

Customize the colors of your Tags to make your visual Litmap easier to understand. For example, you can use different colors for various sub-topics. You can vary the shade of articles based on another criteria.

To change the color of a Tag:

  1. Click your Tag on the left side-bar

  2. Click on colored icon next to the Tag name

  3. Change the color

How to copy Tag to another Workspace

You can move Tags between Workspaces by copying them.

To copy a Tag to another Workspace:

  1. Open the Tag in Litmaps

  2. Select all the articles you'd like to copy

  3. Click the three-dot option at the top right

  4. Click "Add to"

  5. Change the Workspace at the top right of the window

  6. Create a new Tag

  7. Click "Done"

The articles you selected will now be copied over to the new Tag in the other Workspace.
