How to save papers in Litmaps with Tags
Use Tags in Litmaps to stay organized and keep track of your research. You can label Tags based on different sub-topics, authors, article types, etc. to keep track of the articles you find more easily. Tags are accessible anywhere in the application, and can also be exported and synced to your reference manager.
To save a paper to a Tag:
Open up an article in Litmaps
Click Tag
Add to an existing Tag or make a new one by clicking "New Tag". An article can have as many Tags as you like.
All done, your paper is tagged! Access your Tags in the left sidebar anytime
How to save a group from your Litmap as a Tag
When your Litmap uses the Semantic map, Co-citation network or Co-author network view, related articles are shaded and named as groups. You can save a whole group to a Tag in one go:
Click a group's name on the map to select all of its articles
To select more than one group, hold Shift (or Cmd on a Mac) and click another group's name
Click Save as Tag in the selection bar
The Tag is named after the group. If you already have a Tag with that name, you'll see Add to <tag name> instead.
How to change a Tag's name
To change the name a Tag:
Click your Tag on the left side-bar
Click on the Tag's name text at the top
Change the text
Hit Enter
You can also change a Tag's name by going to the Tag settings at the top right (the three dot option) and clicking "Rename".
How to delete a Tag
To delete a Tag (and those papers saved to it):
Click your Tag on the left side-bar
Click on the three-dot option at the top right
Click "Delete"
How to remove an article from a Tag
To remove an article from a Tag:
Click your Tag on the left side-bar
Select the article(s) you'd like to remove
Click on the three dot option at the top right
Click "Remove from Tag"
How to change a Tag's color
Customize the colors of your Tags to make your visual Litmap easier to understand. For example, you can use different colors for various sub-topics. You can vary the shade of articles based on another criteria.
To change the color of a Tag:
Click your Tag on the left side-bar
Click on colored icon next to the Tag name

How to copy a Tag to another Workspace
You can move Tags between Workspaces by copying them.
