Litmaps in Your Language

Want to use Litmaps in a language other than English? Here's how.

Litmaps supports users across the globe in over 150 countries. If you're one of our many international users that would like to use Litmaps in your local language, here's how to do so.

Currently, Litmaps has no in-application language setting. To translate Litmaps, use a browser plugin or extension, like the Google Translate Chrome Extension. This article walks you through step-by-step how to enable it to translate the entire Litmaps application into your language.


How to Translate Litmaps with Google Chrome Translate

If you use Google Chrome, then the easiest way to translate Litmaps is to use the Google Translate extension.

To get started, first download and enable the extension:

  1. Go to the Chrome Web Store, on Google Chrome

  2. Search for the Google Translate extension and click "Add to Chrome"

  3. After being prompted, click "Add Extension"

  4. At the top of your browser, click the Chrome Extension icon

  5. Pin the Google Translate extension by clicking the pin icon next to it,

  6. Click the Google Translate icon at the top of the page:

  7. Click "Extension Options"

  8. Choose from among 130+ languages to select your desired Primary Language and click "Save".

Now, your Google Translate extension is active, and you can translate any webpage. To translate the Litmaps app, simply:

  1. Go to the Litmaps app

  2. Click the Google Translate icon at the top of the page:

  3. Click "TRANSLATE THIS PAGE"

That's it! The entire application should now be translated, and continue to appear in your selected language.

How to Translate Litmaps User Guides

All user guides, including this one, can also be translated into your language.

Here's how to translate any Litmaps guide:

  1. Open the article in Google Chrome

  2. Right click on the guide page

  3. Click "Translate to..."

  4. Done!

To change your default language, click on the Google Translate symbol that appears next to the URL, select the three-dot option, and click "Choose another language...".
