If you didn't receive a Verification Code from Litmaps, be sure to check your Spam and Junk folders first.
When signing up for a Litmaps account or trying to recover a forgotten password, your email needs to be verified. However, you may not always receive the verification email.
The most common reason your verification code isn't coming through is because you're using an institutional email address which has strict anti-spam filters. This happens most often with government institutions and universities, but can happen for any organization.
In order to receive the verification code, ensure Litmaps emails aren't being blocked. Check your Spam/Junk folders, and white-list the Litmaps domain using the instructions below.
How to Whitelist Litmaps in Gmail
Here's how to whitelist the Litmaps email domain from your Gmail account, to ensure you receive verification codes:
In Gmail, click on the gear icon at the top right to access your settings
Click "See all settings"
3. Click "Filters and Blocked Addresses"
4. Click "Create a new filter" in the section regarding filters.
5. Enter the litmaps domain in the From box: litmaps.com
6. Click "Create filter"
7. Check the box "Never send it to Spam" and click "Create filter"
8. All done! You should now see filter in your list of filters.
How to Whitelist Litmaps in Outlook
Here's how to whitelist the Litmaps email domain from your Microsoft Outlook account, to ensure you receive verification codes from us:
In Microsoft Outlook, click "Tools"
Click "Junk Email Preferences"
Select "Safe Senders"
Click the plus sign at the bottom.
Type litmaps.com, and then hit enter
All done! This email is now added as a Safe Sender to your Outlook.
To whitelist an email from the online application of Microsoft office:
Click the gear icon at the top right
Click "Junk email" from the options under "Email"
Click "+Add" under Safe senders and domains
Type litmaps.com and hit enter
Click "Save" at the bottom
